Athenian River God

Athenian River God  ( Illissos or Eridanos), West Pediment of Parthenon ( The Eris “contest” of Athena and Poseidon). The Acropolis Museum, Greece, 2014

This was from my Summer Study Abroad in Greece back in 2014. This particular sketch was done at the newly constructed acropolis museum with the pediment plaster copies. It’s a real shame that they weren’t the originals. They would have looked magnificent in that space.

Running in a Dream

dreamscape painting

Dreamscape oil painting

This piece is the embodiment of a desire I had growing up as a child to be able to run and do any sport, but due to medical limitations and doctor recommendation, I was not allowed to do any high impact/running sports.
But I always loved to run as fast as I could, and there would be nights where I would dream about it and how it felt
